SPEEDWAY FIRE RESCUE (SFR) TAKES DONATIONS DURING TRAINING ON MARCH 19, 2006

SPEEDWAY FIRE RESCUE MEMBERS AND OTHER ATTENDEES AT THE ANNUAL TRAINING PASSED A FIRE HELMET TO COLLECT FUNDS FOR NATE WILSON, THE FIREFIGHTER INJURED IN THE FIRE SATURDAY MORNING, MARCH 18, 2006. THEY COLLECTED A TOTAL OF $160.00 AND SPEEDWAY FIRE RESCUE (SFR) MATCHED THE COLLECTION AND DONATED A TOTAL OF $320.00 TO NATE WILSON AND HIS FAMILY. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WAS A PART OF THIS CONTRIBUTION.

Adult Items:

Old Cell Phones with Chargers; Toothbrushes and Toothpaste; Soap; Deodorant; Combs; Hairbrushes; Towels; Washcloths; Combs; Hairbrushes; Any travel size items; Sweat suits; Sweatpants; Sweatshirts (Police keep their clothes and shoes for evidence for court); Flip-Flop Shoes; Any sizes – Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large; Socks – All; Sizes – Female; Underwear – All Sizes – Female; Swimwear – All Sizes – 1 and 2 piece – (to swim at the Y); Books; Paperbacks; Hard Cover Books; Magazines; Reading Materials;

Children’s Items:

Crayons; Coloring Books; Reading Books for all ages; Back Packs; Pencils; Color Pencils; Note Books; Socks – All Sizes and Colors for Male and Female; Underwear –All Sizes – Male and Female - Infant to High School; Swimwear – All Sizes – Male and Female – (to swim at the Y); Flip- Flops – All Sizes – Male and; Female; Toothpaste; Toothbrushes; Deodorant; Any travel size items; Towels; Wash Cloths; Combs; Hairbrushes; Sweat suits; Sweatpants; Sweatshirts;

Family Items:

Gallon size Ziploc bags for each family member on arrival; Music CD’s and/or VHS Tapes (they have 5 movies they keep playing over and over.); Money for bus passes to get to and from Dr. appointments and to Court Dates; HyVee gift cards for milk, eggs, fresh fruit and produce; SINGLE BEDS – need 5 right now as the others are in bad shape as they get lots of use; Blankets; Pillow Cases; Pillows; Sheets; Towels; Wash Cloths; Handy Wipes; Toilet Paper; Any toiletry item would benefit a lot of them; Suitcases for their clothes;
